PTA Parlour: Teaching Emotions

I like to incorporate the teaching of emotions into the everyday whenever they appear. This requires spontaneous approaches to teaching as well as embedding a daily practice to create emotional awareness and self resilience. We can do this through movement (yoga) and tuning into the now (meditation). In turn we can teach children that emotions come from thoughts and that there are ways to slow their mind, which in turn calms their bodies.
